The nation’s favourite vodka bar is evolving, and its first stop is York.
Founded in Manchester in 1996, Revolution now operate 69 bars across the UK, offering vodka in more or less any way, shape or form amongst other breeds of entertainment. It offers (wait for it…) thirty, yes thirty different flavours of vodka infusions; all tried and tested in their own Vodka Factory in Manchester. And now they have introduced their Revolution Evolution programme, the first taste of which will be unveiled in our very own beloved city on Saturday 16th February.
Imagining Revolution’s York branch, situated on Coney Street overlooking the river and the York Eye from its balcony, it suddenly becomes very unsurprising that they’ve chosen to start their evolution here. The bar has been plugged with a six-figure investment, and is set to unveil its biggest ever cocktail menu which will introduce brand spanking-new future-favourites such as the Midsummer Mule, served in the bar’s very own copper mugs, accompanying old classics such as the Dark and Stormy, and of course the vodka and coke.
They have taken even more care this time around to cater for all different audiences; from the sweaty party-goer to the seeker of a quick nibble before work. It has been designed to encompass those who wish to book their own special events, promising a spacious and relaxing social environment that will suite punters of all ages. To top all of this off, I feel obliged to include one minor, very miniscule detail: there is now a rum bar, set to cover the whole of the first floor.
It has the (vast variety of) drinks, it has the furniture, it has the views and it has the re-launch night, time for us all to grab our dancing shoes and join the Evolution.
